I saw the news this morning, and have been skimming reports when I get the chance. Most of the folks I know via fandom and LJ have reported in, although not all, so that's a thread of worry, but mostly I'm angry in that amorphous, useless way that makes you grab for the nearest thing that looks like a solution.
This morning, of course, it looked like suicide bombers, so I was waxing wroth about the need to create a disincentive for recruiting them -- my own idea is exile for the families of bombers who kill or injure others, as many family members as were killed or whose injuries left them disabled, to the most remote island we can find, until five years after the tactic stops being used.
Then when they said the bombs were probably set off by cell phones I was raging against the cell phone companies that want access in the tunnels. (I haven't liked that idea anyway. It's annoying enough when the trains are above ground.
And now they think it was bombs on timers...
Like I said, useless anger.
The ironic thing is that the bombers are making the world worse and the rich richer by discouraging people from using public transportation.
