1. Your LiveJournal user name & what it means:

rabidsamfan. No caps. I learned to type on a teletype machine and I still get my best speed when I’m emulating don marquis. It means what it says.

2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are?

Maybe 6. I whine sometimes about my RL, but I’m trying to keep it to a minimum. And I focus on LotR here, with only side mentions of other fandoms I have loved.

3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?

Depends on how stressed I am and how much in need of some kind of feedback, no matter how virtual. I sometimes go back and friends lock that sort of thing afterwards though. I’ll usually post something at least once a day though and rl makes good filler.

4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?

Probably, but I haven’t consciously thought of it. I’m not likely to post my real name anytime soon.

5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?

How would I know? I know some people like the drabbles, but a good many of the people who have me on their friends list seldom if ever comment. They haven’t “unfriended” me though so they must not be too bored.

6. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?

No.

7. What proportion of your posts are friends only?

Initially few, in retrospect a third or so.

8. What is your favorite interest on LJ?

Fan fiction! Hobbits! Elves! Dwarves! Wizards! And even those pesky Numenoreans!

9. How often do you post in communities, and did you ever start your own?

Occasionally and no.

10. How often do you respond to/comment on other people's journals?

It depends on my mood. I’m far more likely to respond when I’m trying to avoid my own problems, though. Or, conversely, when I’m in a very good mood.

11. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals?

Read.

12. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed or got into an argument/flame war on LJ (or did it to someone else)?

Nobody on my flist has been silly enough to answer this, and neither shall I.

16. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?

I see fanfic, or fanfic recommendations or links to fanfic in their entries. Or they’re often commenting in my lj, one of the two and when I check them out I see fanfic, or recommendations or links… Occasionally because the person just seemed to be interesting or funny.

17. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?

No

18. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?

I’m intimidated by their reputation and too scared to ask permission.

19. Is your "significant other" on LJ?

No.

20. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ?

Yup. But I'm gonna need a lottery ticket so I can take a world tour to do it!
