May. 3rd, 2004 08:46 pmWhen did you write your first fanfiction piece? What was it for?
When I was six. It was for Trixie Belden.
Did you actually post it anywhere?
There was no internet back then (reaches for rocking chair).
What series have you written fanfics for?
That I'll admit to? Anything from Star Trek and Johnny Quest to LotR.
Any Original Characters (ones that got named) that you had inhabit the series universes? If so- who/where? (yes, this is where we embarrass you by revealing your dark secrets!)
I have an alter ego character who jumped from universe to universe having adventures and then vanishing like the Lone Ranger into the sunset. Very useful -- all my MarySues rolled into one. Except she was fourteen and didn't have sex with anyone.
If you had the chance to have the original creator turn any of your fanfic into an actual real piece, which story would you choose?
Of what I've actually shown anyone? "Unlucky". Of what is hiding shamefacedly in drawers, a Doctor Who story with Harry Sullivan and Sarah Jane Smith.
Do you have any weird music quirks that help you write?
No. Sometimes I write with music and sometimes not.
What are common "themes" you hide in your stories?
The endless problem of having to take care of someone else when you hurt too much to move.
What are your favorite characters to write POVs from?
Third person, actually, in LotR -- with occasional dips into people's heads for drabbles.
What story of yours do you wish more people would read and love?
"Speed the Plough" -- which at least has the virtue of being a complete piece.
If you could pick a specific scene of your story to be made into a comic-book/doujinshi format, what scene from what fanfic would you pick?
see above.
And last but not least- Why do you like writing fanfiction?
Because it's fun! And I look at tv shows (or used to) and read books and always wonder what happened that they didn't show us, or after the end of the story.
