Firefox. But the computer is ancient. And at work I'm in IE and it frickin' locks up on me too.

We've had issues at work with docs freezing up when using IE. Usually works if you upgrade to at least IE7 or even better, use the Chrome browser. Never had any problems opening docs with that. You might also want to check and find out if the doc is in a compatible format for you if you're using an older version of Office.

You might enjoy a new PC with the Windows 7 OS. It's a really good OS for a change. I use Firefox myself, and I think the browser has some problems. Perhaps IE9 on a new PC would solve your problems. Good luck!
