rabidsamfanSooo, in one of those, "that's not the project I should be working on but it isn't it shiny?" moments that occur when you still haven't done the dishes or the laundry, etc. I started to transfer all of my Lord of the Rings drabbles and fixed-length ficlets to AO3. That being not sufficiently distracting, I decided to take advantage of the archives features and arrange them, as much as possible, into chronological order according to Tolkien. In honor of his birthday or something. Besides, I'd already linked a bunch of things chronologically way long ago and it was easy to start that way.
117 drabbles and droubbles, etc. later, I finally reached the end of the stuff I'd already put kind of in order. So I clicked on my "lord of the rings" tab and worked back to figure out how much farther I've got to go.
I'm at skip=175.
Now, I grant you, a good many of those entries aren't drabbles. But even if only half of them are, that's... that's... *headdesk*
And I haven't even decided whether to interfile the longer bits and pieces.
Or what I'm going to do with the AU bits and bobs.
Or...
hmm, the laundry and dishes are looking better all the time!
