The clip is from a German movie about Hitler, so if you understand German you might want to turn down the sound to keep from being distracted from the new subtitles which have been added. (From what I can tell, this clip has been resubtitled a whole bunch of times on every topic under the sun.) This version was lots of fun at nearly two in the morning, though, especially if you've been reading the rants that appear in comment sections throughout the internet every time the subject of the new movie gets raised. (Warning for them that cares: the language is *not* polite.)

*kicks and flails and dies laughing* PERFECT! I think every single comment bandied about Cox and Co. about the new movie showed up in there (well, except the positive ones, of course). What I want to know is, who made this piece of beauty, and why aren't they hanging around beings friends? If you're out there, mysterious stranger, come play with us! Hee. I hadn't even seen the trailer yet, much less seen all the rants and raves about the movie. Nice to get it all wrapped up like this so I don't have to search for it all. Ha! I apparently missed what you had to say about it yourself while I was gone. Being a long time Holmes fan and fanfic writer, what do you think of it all?

I am much amused, myself. After some initial doubts I have decided that the movie is crack!fic of the first order, and I may as well strap into the roller coaster and enjoy the screaming.

(howls of laughter) Don't worry, this is as funny at 8 pm as it is at 2 am.

I'm willing to give the movie a chance even though "Hitler" touched on most of my concerns (SHORT Holmes! gah!) but the two biggest funny-because-it's-true were the "shitty fanfiction as a result" and "at least Jude Law is Watson."

Oh, I'm definitely gonna be there. I may even try to be at the same theater as the family of teenaged Holmes-nuts that visit my library all the time. And I'm holding out the "heeere little fishy" copies of the Adventures and Hound and showing kids the trailer even as we wait.

You know, half the fun of my job is corrupting the children. *innocent look*
