I have reached the stage of my headcold where my nose is so stuffy that even breathing through my mouth feels inadequate. It's times like this when sneezes are a Good Thing, because they break up the blockage a little.

I'm so very glad I didn't feel like this when I was in Colorado. I'd be happy not to feel like this now. Thank goodness for Vicks VapoRub, which almost works, and for spray decongestant which actually does. And phlbbttt to snowstorms which are going to be bad enough to close the schools tomorrow and apparently not bad enough to close the library. Maybe if I bring in some movies from my personal stash...

*hugs*

I hate not being able to breathe like that. I hope you don't get bored out of your skul at work then, if no kids are allowed to visit the library. Movies sounds like a good plan.

Oh the kids are allowed to visit. They didn't have school and the mayor thinks they should have some place to go. Mind you it's 26 libraries vs nearly a hundred schools...

GAH. I *hate* colds like that; you have my utmost sympathy. Any chance you can get hold of some eucalyptus oil? A few drops of that in almost-boiling water provide a very head-clearing and lung-soothing steam. Hope you feel *much* better in a hurry.

P.S. LOVE that icon!

Didn't get to the drugstore, but I'll try to remember. Vicks has eucalyptus in it though, I think.

Have you tried "Zicam Nasal Swabs"? (Actually, look for the generic, it works just as well.)

My husband told me about them after I caught a cold this year (probably from him), and they actually did un-stuff me and make the duration of my cold a LOT shorter.

Hope you'll be feeling better soon!

Must get to drugstore...

At this point I'm ready to try just about anything.

Ack! Poor dear! I hate that stuffiness. I hope you feel better soon.

(It does seem a bit strange to close schools but not libraries. *blink*blink*)

The children have to have a place to go, right?

*glares at mayor*

Fortunately, most of the little darlings decided to stay home. Which is good, because the snow turned to rain and the streets were four inches deep in icy slush by the time I started home.

*hugs* I feel your pain fully! We had a mini snowstorm here last night not enough to close the schools though. Meh.

I don't mind snow nearly as much as "wintry-mix" which is far more likely to seep into my boots and trickle down my neck.
