First I've seen this season.

It's big fat flakes, drifting lazily down and refusing to stick. A very gentle start to winter. Of course, I'm right next to the ocean, so it may be different further inland...

In other news, I have resorted to fudging the waterbed situation by taking the "possibly leaking" tube on trust and filling in for the dead tube with rolled up extra towels and things. And made sure the heating system (for the bed) was working, which it definitely was last night. Aaaaah, so much better than its been all winter. I can actually crank the (apartment) heat down at night when the bed is warm.

A warm bed is the best thing ever.

I damn near gave myself frostbite earlier decorating trees on the porch. Much snowier up here. ;) I'm also about 2 hours drive inland, too.

Great solution to the waterbed issue!

Snow! We haven't had any here yet, it's been unseasonably warm. Soon, I hope!

Snow, ewww!
We're expecting some more tonight and tomorrow, though the low is supposed to be more like 16 degrees than the 3 degrees we had last week. But back to the 40's by Wednesday.

Presumably the dead tube is off to one side? Can't quite picture the improvisation being quite comfortable if it's under one's middle section. But yes, waterbeds are lovely, toasty things on a winter night, when they work. (Ask my son, who knocked on my door this morning at 4:49 and wanted to join his dad and I in the king-size one. Explain yet again, that NO, anything before 6 a.m. does NOT count as morning in Mother's book...)
