rabidsamfan: samwise gamgee, I must see it through (Default)

It is Monday after all.

Let me just say that while I don't think the Dove dark chocolate is quite as good as some of the other kinds (too much sugar), I do very much like the "three wrapped bars" inside the cardboard shell. Four squares of dark chocolate are a lovely luxury, where twelve can be a bit much.

Hmmmm, chocolate... and that after I have started counting Weight Watchers-points again. You know, we visited the German Capital and had our lunches and dinners in traditionally German restaurants like Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut and McDonalds... *grins*

Don't get me started on chocolate this early in the morning. I'm still drinking those leftover Pepsis from your visit, kiddo.

But I think there's still one lone Dove ice cream bar in the freezer, calling my name...

I will confess to liking Pizza Hut most of the time; I sometimes do KFC for pure-D nostalgia; but McDonalds is the absolute, ultimate, lowest-common-denominator of American fast food. I wince every time I go there, but I go there. (I have a kid, they have a play place, that's what happens...) Of all the things we had to export, that's the one the world is going to remember us for? Oooops!

As a Weight Watcher, I actually do prefer McDonalds, simply because their burgers don't contain nearly as much fat as those from Burger King. Kentucky Fried Chicken is pure madness, of course. I had french fries with Chili con Carne, out of sheer, perverse curiosity. Must I add that they were delicious? *facepalm* Sometimes I hate my diet.

There was cheese on the Chili con Carne, too. I didn't mention the cheese, did I?

Yeah, there has to be cheese to make them authentic. Liked 'em, did you?

I'm afraid that particular side dish is now permanantly linked in my mind to a certain little guitar-playing idiot. {{“I told her when we started this, if you get paid for singing, it’s a band.” “Yeah, and I told him if you get paid in French fries it doesn’t count.” “It does if they’re chili cheese fries."}} But I'm with Lizeth, I still prefer onion rings.

Ghirardelli's dark squares - the ones that are like 70% cacao - are very good. I think I'm going to have to get some after the weekend I had.

Chocolate is an absolute necessity. *nods*

You'all are making me jealous. I had ...

peanutbutter fudge. Good, but not quite chocolate.

Chocolate is definitely a necessity on a Monday, and medicinal at that...
