With popcorn and everything.

I went and saw Hellboy II tonight with a friend and laughed like a loon more than once, so the week has ended on a high note.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll kick myself to the theater again tomorrow. But it's not as much fun going alone.

I love to go to the movies, but rarely do. Usually I wait till they come out on DVD. Glad you had fun!

some movies need big screens. Especially when most the action takes place at night! details vanish on tvs.

I'd love to go to the movies -- if that didn't mean putting up with foul-mouthed broodsows loudly talking to they Gurlfraynzz on their cells while their litter of yelling piglets run up and down the aisles -- or the teen brats who think a 3-hour gore-fest that starts at 10:30pm is a great place to bring their howling babies. (You know, the teen mommies who tell YOU to Fuck Off if you ask them to be quiet so you can watch the movie you paid $10 to see...)

Gee, I wonder why I wait till it's at Hollywood Video.

The theater chain needs to hear that the management isn't doing their jobs, sounds like. I never have those problems, not even in the downtown theater.

We've got a new 'upscale' theater near us -- twee as all heck, $12 a ticket, the concession stand serves wine and sushi and fancy finger foods for outrageous prices. But the ticket price includes popcorn and soda with free refills, which actually makes it cheaper than going to the regular theater and buying a combo. I may go there again, despite the initial misgivings.

At that price, the crowd was actually reasonably polite. Only one cell phone went off during the movie.

hmm. popcorn and soda in the ticket price... yeah, that works out about the same. Better with refills.

I trust the seats are comfortable too.
