My phone is dead. Again.

It's a lovely clear day, there's no humidity or rain to blame it on, it's just dead.

But the DSL on the same flippin' phone line? That's working fine.

How bizarre.

We get cable, internet, and phone all through Comcast - but apparently the cable TV comes in through one set of wires and the internet and phone over a different set. So we can lose TV but still have internet and phone, or lose internet and phone, but still have TV. But internet and phone come in through the same signal, so if one goes out, both do.

Truly bizarre.

And it has been a lovely day in the Northeast, hasn't it?

Actually, I'm becoming convinced that it's screwed up wiring. It did this to me the other day too, and after swearing and unplugging and replugging and unplugging and replugging and unplugging and replugging I finally got the darn thing to work. But that hasn't worked yet today.

(And I'm on I.E. too... Too many browsers!)

If I want to be logged onto both this journal and the fic journal simultaneously, I have to have separate browser windows open. A new tab on the existing one (whether IE or Firefox) doesn't work. It's got to be a completely separate window.

And then, some nights when I'm not on call, I have a small drinky and forget which window is which.

I forget and try to answer from the email, and then I'm not logged in. (I've got the GJ logged in over there, at the moment.)

And it doesn't take a drink to make me forget. Heck, I've got one of those little bitty bottles of White Zinfandel, and I'm halfway through it and my face is already hot and pink and I'm starting to sing along with Three Dog Night.
