It's raining. That would not stop me from going to see fireworks, usually, but the rain has combined itself with a few...er... digestive difficulties, and I don't want to get caught in the Boston coming home crowd on a work night.

*sigh* At least the fireworks in the harbor on First Night were really good this year.

Poor Samfan, those digestive woes are the worst. At least you saw some big boomers! Our local display was last night, clear and cool. Today Mother Nature has shown everyone who is boss and kept up quite a pyotechnic display of her own - when it wasn't raining! But I am inside and dry!

Yes, I live within a block of the harbor, so the New Year's fireworks are very close. But that usually only lasts fifteen minutes, and the ones last night went for half an hour.
