They didn't find any. *modified rapture*

But let me just say that if I ever have the opportunity to advise other patients I'm going to tell them to take up yoga before the scan. For one of them you have to lie perfectly still on a little skinny narrow bed for fifteen minutes and for another you have to do the same thing for twenty minutes.

Well, okay, for the twenty minute one once the scanner thingie has worked down from your head you can talk and sing and stuff.

The radiology guy was there, so I told him "The Elephant's Child". With the funny voices.

He said that was definitely a first.

Oh, I'm so glad for you! I know it has to be a huge relief! (((((hugs))))

You know "The Elephant's Child" by heart? Oh Best Beloved, that is just amazing!

Very nearly. I've been reading it to classes and groups for years, and I don't think I forgot very much in the telling. All the salient points were there anyway and a good many of the verbal flourishes.

And I do love the bi-coloured python rock snake....

Hurrah! I'll take any kind of rapture over a test, modified or otherwise!

*big hugs*

And I wish that I could have heard/seen that... "The Elephant's Child" with funny voices, while you're lying on a med table. I bet you made his day. :D

I think I did make his day, actually. He didn't remember the story until I was done with it, and then he asked me if it was an old story... I told him it was indeed!

Ah, the classics...

In the High and Far Off Times, O Best Beloved....

It's one of my favorite stories to read to the kids.

My mom thought that too. But there's a part of me that was like... "okay, they got it all in February, why am I still doing this?"

I know, I know, to prevent reoccurances, etc...But I still don't wanna...

Yay! *throws confetti in air*

I was definitely glad I'd started doing yoga before the one MRI I had. I just closed my eyes and focused on my breathing - otherwise I'd've wigged out, and I'm really not prone to claustrophobia at all.

I didn't even ask what the stupid machine was called.

It was designed by a skinny-Minnie with no sense of claustrophobia at all, though. And whoever thought it was a good idea to get you lying down and then shove armrests under your kidneys?

*makes the yuck face*

Personally, I think that the folks who run these things should all be required to test ride them once a year. That'd larn 'em.

Alas, the encore is on the fifth. Another twenty minute ride on the mystery machine....

GAAAAHHH!!

Maybe I'll tell him "The Three Little Pigs" the right way. I don't remember "Elsie Piddock Skips in her Sleep" well enough to recite it without the book.

Elsie Piddock! Ooooh! I've never, ever, met anyone else who knew "Martin Pippin in the Daisy Field". It's been one of my favourite books since I was a child (it was my mother's copy when *she* was a child; my granparents lived in Sussex.) And Elsie Piddock is my favourite story from it. *happy sigh*

I'm so behind-hand on LJ that I've hardly been commenting at all, especially as the comments would always be 'old hat' by the time I got to make them, but I've been thinking of you lots, and I'm so pleased to hear this news. Hope you're getting along all right at the moment.

I got the therapeutic dose this morning and I go back on the fifth for another twenty minute scan. But after that it's just blood tests every so often *crosses fingers and knocks wood*
