Is LJ being strange for y'all too? I just got a bunch of late e-mails telling me about replies to things that were posted weeks ago, and now I can't comment on anyone's journal!

Yup. I've been getting e-mails for comments posted June 26-29. Bizarre!

lj_maintenance announced last night that they were doing something to journals on the "Green Cluster", and that those journals would be read-only for awhile. It might be that the ones you're trying to comment on are in that Cluster. Whatever it is.

Yes, I saw that too; I got a reply to a post from six weeks ago, and it was a reply that was posted at the time. Weird.

Ah, that 'splains it. I've just gotten two emails in my inbox from that time, one of which is from MARIGOLD! (sorry, hon, it wasn't my fault!) about a story I posted on LJ, and it's dated 6/27. What a mystery.....

I think it's that problem they were working on all month. There for a while we weren't receiving any email notifications and a couple of weeks ago they said they'd fixed the problem and we would eventually be getting all those notifications. I've had several of them myself yesterday and today. Kinda funny. I haven't had any problem posting comments, but there was a read-only hold on the green cluster last night. That might be your cluster.

These are the comments that weren't e-mailed some time at the end of June/beginning of July. Now I get e-mails, I don't even remember what I commented on.

And yes, LJ had a maintenance going today (or is it tonight?). Anyway... I couldn't even log in.

Same here. I looked at our thread in your LJ a couple of days ago and found week-old replies to my replies that I have not yet been notified of. Will reply soon to all of above (when current pile of obligations is somewhat reduced.)

I got the e-mail things from weeks ago that I already got weeks ago, and an e-mail sent in response to "my" request to have my password sent to me, which was kind of scary since I never requested it. Yet, I still can post in journals. Wonder what's going on. At least it's not as bad as ff.net and having all kinds of downtime.
