I shifted the kitchen around so I could get access to the bookshelves. Some of you may remember that I installed built in shelves when I moved into this apartment and I'll try to post a pic if I can figure out how to do it. It won't be a very good one. You can't get the whole wall into a single shot with the cheap little digital I have available. I figute to spend part of the day packing them as much as possible, and maybe organizing a little, since I currently have piles of books all over the house. If I can clear the way to the bookshelves in my room I'll load them too.

Of course, having gotten them cleared, I felt like sitting down for a while... *sigh* Still, it's progress. I'm beginning to definitely feel like I did something smart when I got the operation done. The keel is definitely more even, I just don't have any stamina yet.

So glad you are feeling better! Take care.

It's easy to upload pictures. Upload to a photo album online first (either on LJ or say, Photobucket) and then - at leat in photobucket - click on the line under the picture that says tag and copy that text into your update page. The picture should appear in your post. Good luck!

Go to your userinfo, there should be something called scrapbook there (on the blue menu line). There is an option called upload and you can upload files from that site. I am not sure however how you put the pictures into your journal because I use photobucket. The scrapbook is more for viewing pictures than using them elsewhere I think.

Ah, ?I see... it's a paid function... I either have to bite the bullet and ubgrade or go try to remember my photobucket routine, then. Maybe later today when I'm not so cold from venturing out of doors.

Thanks!

Photobucket's free, and the one time I did picspam I found it fairly easy to use.

Oh, and glad you're feeling better!

Yeah, I've done pics before. It's just been a while, and I don't remember the exact routine.

So far at least, what I seem to have gained from the operation is a break from the "next mood swing: five minutes" feeling. When I get tired, I don't feel quite so bleak.

I must say, though, that taking the Advair conscientiously for the asthma seems to have made the reactions (when I get them) worse! Of course, it hurts to cough, so I'll wait and see if that changes as the incision finishes healing. It doesn't help that cold air leaks into my apartment like nobody's business. I'm about to break down and go hook up the little electric heater, just to make the bedroom (where the computer is) more tolerable as I type...

I read the comments at the thyroid community here on LJ from all the people who are doing the balancing act with their medications and side effects, and I'm even more certain. It's a little like the time I had plantar fasciaitis (spelling?). It's a tear in the muscle/tendons of the bottom of your foot. After a year of mucking about, I finally hit a doctor who said if I could just stay off it completely for a week it would heal. I couldn't manage a week, but I did spend one three day weekend on my hands and knees, and you know what? It healed!

Really? Wow. And I remember the long time of nervousness and indecision you went through, and I am very happy that your courage paid off so well.

Must go to bed now. I survived a whole weekend with two luscious birthday parties, and I nearly kept inside the limits of my points count - whew. But now I'm exhausted, and I have to hide from the last remnants of birthday cake...*grins* G'night!
