I'm back from the hospital and my sister is making me something to eat so I can take another pain med and go back to sleep. But I'm pretty much okay, in that "Look at all the shiny... what's that?" kind of way.

I had an operation to remove half of my thyroid gland. It had developed nodules which weren't shutting off when they were supposed to and that was putting my body systems out of whack.

Thanks for asking! I only just realized that I hadn't explained that in an unfiltered post. I was keeping most of the trouble limited to folks I didn't think would mind the grody details.
