So when did Draco Malfoy start getting fashion advice from Illya Kuryakin?

Date: 2005-10-15 02:44 am (UTC)Stri - Aragorn - caught one look - caught him off guard, mind, while checking how his feet were healing up, and Sam strongly suspected Mr. Frodo had gone behind his back as well, given all the questions Aragorn started asking. He didn't really feel like answering anything, but it was - well, it was the King, and still Strider too, so he didn't see as how he had any choice. Mostly he was just so tired. . .a sort of "all out" feeling, one might say. But then again, surely Mr. Frodo must be feeling it too. . . .
"Lunch is here."
At the sound of Frodo's bright voice, Sam cringed. He felt more like swallowing than chewing, truth told, and didn't relish trying to muddle through any meal in front of his master in this state. "Sir, I'm not hungry, if you remember - now you sit down and eat that up."
But Frodo shook his head as he waited for the accompanying attendant to settle the tray on Sam's bed, then depart. "No, you don't. I've already eaten mine, every bite of it, and more - Queen Arwen asked me to lunch with her today, and she kept passing me lovely things from her plate, so I'm *quite* full, let me assure you." He settled comfortably into the soft chair Aragorn had set beside the bed. "I've all the time in the world, though you might not wish to wait that long."
Sam hesitated.
But his stomach growled, complaining pointedly.
Well. . .he *was* hungry. And very thirsty. There was nothing for it: perhaps he could look and see at least if there might be anything he could eat with his mouth like this.
"Please, Sam?"
That did it. Bracing himself, he lifted the tray-cover and laid it aside.
What he saw caused him to blink in astonishment.
A host of miniature dishes graced the tray, all elegant as could be, the perfect size for smaller servings, as if to provide a sampler.
