It's ready! It's done! [livejournal.com profile] belegcuthalion has finished translating my story The Ringbearer and the Rose into German!!!

I am so excited! In fact I'm so excited that I went and looked at the whole thing through the Babelfish translator and that was silly. Hobbits turn into main header bits. I wonder why?

Bounce!

It is "Herzlichen Glückwunsch" in German. :) And Mona translates the stories wonderfully.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch, [livejournal.com profile] rabidsamfan! It looks great, and it's a pleasure to read your stories in my native language as well. :D

Cool! Thank you! Although, I think if I tried to actually pronounce it...it would be so badly mangled and butchered it wouldn't be recognizable to any self respecting German speaking person. I can write it, though!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch!!

Congratulations - or as it is said in German 'Herzlichen Glückwunsch!' :)

Translating with Babelfish is hilarious! Some users of a message board I'm in once translated the English FotR scrip with Babelfish - just for fun. But we didn't only translate from English to German, but e.g. from English to French, to Spanish and then to German. One needed a lot of imagination to find out what had been said in English.

That's great!

I didn't know that story, so I just read it. It was beautiful.
