And I'm on the "Holmes Through the Years" panel, so I came up with a sort of a survey, trying to figure out which performances have stuck in people's minds.

Don't know if any of y'all are interested, but it's there if you are! Feel free to pass it along.

I saw Paxton Whitehead in "Crucifer of Blood", so it's a name I'm quite sure of.

Added Tom Conway and Orson Welles as well as Anthony Higgins. Thanks! I have a bunch more names to add, which is why I said "skim", but you didn't miss those three -- they weren't there. It's kind of frustrating, because somewhere in the last year or so someone has gone through the IMDb and unlinked a whole bunch of the character links for Holmes. (The Watsons are still linked, it's just Holmes.) I mean, Christopher Plummer didn't show up, and he's not even a wobbly "just put on a deerstalker" level performer! Luckily, I still have the links for what I got there last year in a google doc.

And of course, the IMDb doesn't have the radio plays anyway.

So glad you had fun!

That was on stage? Cool.

There might be more radio Sherlocks. I thought of those two because I've been listening to Old Time Radio quite a bit over the last year and had checked to see who did Sherlock on radio. If anything else comes to mind I'll check your list again. Oh yes - Jonathan Pryce and Patrick McNee (*flinches*). Perhaps you've added those. It's too early in the day for coherent thought.

A fellow listener to SH OTR! Yay! Tom Conway and Basil Rathbone are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Big Finish Audio has done some audio drama SH productions--I think Nicholas Briggs plays Holmes in those, but I'm not 100% sure. (ETA: Yes, that's who it is!) And there was a recent parody series on radio that was pretty funny ... Found it! The Newly Discovered Casebook of Sherlock Holmes starring Roy Hudd as Holmes--here's a link for downloads: http://www.radiomickdanger.com/ListShows2.php?seriesname=New%20Holmes

The survey was fun!

I adore OTR. There's just something about listening to the Harry Lime series while working on a colouring book... ;~)

Roy Hudd. Good lord.
