No, not the Hobbit.

But I thoroughly enjoyed Pirates: Band of Misfits anyway, despite the 3D (although it did have fun with the usual stupid audience tricks you'd expect in a movie full of swords and luxuriant beards.)

If you go, do stick around for the credits, where the animators have been kind enough to give you larger versions of the signs throughout the movie and enough time to read them.

And I've been in fandom too long, because I can't decide if I ship the Pirate Captain with No. 2 or with Charles Darwin... in a purely platonic sense, of course!

I went to that movie for the stop motion rather than Martin Freeman. BUT IT WAS AMAZING!!! My little brother and I were in tears of laughter, and once missed half a scene for laughing at a gag. And the signage/similar details made the movie. My favorite was the application for Pirate of the year. "Roar: Loud, Very Loud, Brian Blessed."

I actually liked it so much that I bought the four books that Defoe has written so far. They are different from the movie, but very cute.

(In England the movie was called "The Pirates! In an Adventure With Scientists." Irritatingly they changed the title, the voice for The Albino Pirate, and a lot of idioms for the American edition.)

Very Random: I think it's hilarious that he calls his number one, "Number 2"
