Ever wonder why the BBC blew "Gaudy Night" so badly? Well, now we know.

I'm glad to see that he's written an autobiography. I look forward to reading it.

Must wait until my new laptop is booked into our WLAN. iMac-Granny refuses to load that site completely. *pouts and bookmarks*

You know, I'm not sure if I even watched it. I always had a problem with the book - I was so in love with Lord Peter, I couldn't bear to see him go off with Harriet! *silly*

Okay, now I have to go back and rewatch Gaudy Night. I've watched the Carmichael versions more often, as they include more of my favorite stories -- wrong looks, but I like the way he plays it.

Always difficult to figure out why they changed/cut/added things in the TV or movie adaptation. One has to take them on their own merits, far too often with a heavy sigh.
