And I can't find the world's smallest violin for my pity party, either.

Actually I kind of posted so that a friend of mine will know why I didn't make a phone call tonight, but I'll admit to seriously considering going off in search of teething salve.

Orasol (Rite-Aid's generic Ambsesol) is amazing at numbing gums.

I did. Twice. I still hurt. But I think I may have wrested the tiny bow for the violin away from the mosquitoes that snuck in through the hole in the screen.

They should have. Look for the active ingredient benzocaine on the things for oral/dental pain. It's a local anaesthetic.

I don't think it's that bad, but thanks. I managed to take a nap after two ibuprofen, so I'll get to bed tonight. But I think I am going to go out and look for that benzocaine stuff before I try to sleep for the night.

If those are the 200mg ibuprofen, you can take up to 3 every 6 hours or 4 every 8 hours (max dose is 2400mg/24 hours). And the benzocaine tastes nasty, but it works.

But yes, Anbesol and the generic equivalents do distract it for awhile.
It will feel better in a few days, honest it will. (Says the survivor of I don't want to count how many root canals, and yes, the fillings more towards the front don't usually hurt as bad as the ones all the way in the back.)

Go give Holmes a toothache. That ought to make him a royal pain in the patoot for Watson to have to deal with.
