Ages long ago I started to try to drabble for thirty fandoms. I didn't get that far, but I'm thinking of going back to it. I need the mental exercise.

I just can't think of which fandoms to try, at least not this late at night. Any suggestions?

Do you have to pick one off a list, or can it be any fandom?

I'd say Dickens. You can't lose with the classics. ;)

Y'all make suggestions and if I know the fandom I'll see what I can do.

The Scarlet Pimpernel? Brilliant idea. Robin Hood?

Just reread those drabbles from 2005. Oh my, are they good.

Oh - and while we're mentioning the Brontë-Sisters - how about Wuthering Heights? Oh - and would you perhaps like to try The Brother Cadfael Mysteries?

What about

New Doctor Who (or Torchwood if you watch it)

Sherlock Holmes

Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot

and I definitely second Cadfael

You may certainly have any plotbunny here, and may transfer them between fandoms if you like.

As for fandoms... hrmn. Shakespeare plays? Those can be fun to expand upon.

I can't remember which fandoms you're into but if you like SG1 I'd be happy to read it. :) I have several bunnies but never get around to actually put much down.

I'll add my voice to the chorus calling for Cadfael--and--are you familiar with Randall Garret's Lord D'arcy? Or Katherine Kurtz's Deryni?

Though it may be days before I get to know--I'm at an internet cafe right now. Power and cable still out at home.

Messing About

Winter days on the River were best for nothing.

During a late lie-in the Mole said sleepily, "Ratty, d'you suppose others are like us?"

Rat stroked Mole's dense back-fur and thought of the poems he'd written about them. "I'm sure we're the only ones, Moly."

Badger cursed, and picked up the portrait that had tipped over during his search for his spectacles on the night-stand. He gazed at the image, a reminiscent smile on his sharp old face.

Toad could be tiresome, but his generosity was wholehearted; he'd graciously allowed Badger to keep this picture of the elder Mr. Toad.
