There are three pages of questions and you need your DD Form 214, current healthcare information and financial information about last year too. And you CAN'T do it all online. You've got to mail or fax the forms in and/or go in person to a VA site and enroll. I'm trying to put all my ducks in a row, but I can't find my most current 214 -- found the old ones from Colorado, but not the Massachusetts one that I thought was in the same place and I've had to request another copy and start praying it will get here in time. Because if my job goes toes up and I lose my healthcare, I'm going to start dying slowly from lack of a thyroid gland unless I can keep getting prescriptions from somewhere...

Bonus points because the VA isn't currently enrolling people who don't have service related disabilities if they can possibly avoid enrolling them...

Yeah, the Republicans support the troops.

*feh*

And, of course, because this came off the internet, there's a site that says it ain't so, too. http://www.vawatchdog.org/08/nf08/nfJAN08/nf010208-1.htm

If the form wasn't such a pain in the butt, and it didn't, right in the instructions, say that they aren't currently enrolling people without financial information, I wouldn't be stressed quite as much. But who wants to take chances? (I'll try to do some more research on it tomorrow, but I'm still getting enrolled ASAP.)
