Hilary! The intervening 6 yrs or so of disposals (ha! reminds me of removals from The Leopard Lady!) must have been quite a lot of fun for her and Peter.

They're both writers, so she and Harriet could have had interesting talks, despite some jealousy?

The Nine Tailors is my favorite, best murderers ever, perfect atmosphere, and fascinating characters all. (Although Gaudy Night does have Oxford! And Reggie Pomfret!)

*happy sigh*

I have most of Dorothy Sayers's Lord Peter Wimsey books on tapes and never tire of listening to them. I adored the Edward Petherbridge (TV and audio) versions and had a crush on Charles Parker in the earlier Ian Carmichael TV versions.

Oh, excuse me, do I hear a message on my answering machine about a nude gentleman with pince-nez in a meek architect's bathroom? Must dash!
