I get off work in fifteen minutes, and it's snowing sideways out there. The temp is at 21F, (-6 C) and the windchill is down to 3F (-16 C). And all I can think about is hobbits wading up through the snow on a hostile mountain...

I wish I'd remembered to wear my scarf this morning, but I was so proud of myself for remembering my umbrella (it was raining then) that I forgot!

Snowing sideways! Is this a late storm where you live, or is March often like this?

Sideways snow here too. My husband just got home and said it took him 3 times longer than usual. Drive safely!

Dang! In March? I'm grateful to have seen Boston in late September! ;-) You need to come down here! Our weather is nice (it IS supposed to be unusually cold tomorrow, though), but you can point and laugh at me in August and September when I'm freaking over the hurricanes again! ;-)

I take the T, actually. And waiting at an outdoor subway stop (yes, I know that's a contradiction, but the train goes underground a few stops away) in a howling wind full of itty bitty ice pellets is not my favorite thing.

The latest I've seen a blizzard here was April first, but that was unusually late. This started as rain, and will turn to rain again by the end, but at the moment it's COLD!

March can be like this, but it won't stay this cold. I hope anyway!

I'd need to know Dwarvish to sufficiently curse today's weather.

I hope you can stay inside. It's bitter out there. My right thumb got so cold in the space of time it took me to get my keys out and open my mailbox and front door that I had to run water over it before the feeling came back.

We had low temperatures and snow here last week, but I never seen it snow sideways! Must be fascinating to see as long as you don't have to go out in it :)

Speaking if cold winters... this is the coldest (and longest) winter I have seen for years. My hometown is still covered with more than one meter of snow. Of course you are reminded of Caradhras! I was myself when I fought my way to church last Sunday (and silently wished for a sturdy Aragorn or Boromir to shield me from the snow...*grins*).

Get a good wind going and you'll see it all right. *mumbles rude things about wind chill factors*

Hmmm. Aragorn to shield me from the snow.... might almost make it worth it!
