There was a hobbit greeting people in the subway this morning!

(He was handing out lovely flyers about the props/costume exhibit that is coming to Boston's Museum of Science next month.)

*still grinning*

Hobbits does know how to make one´s day more cheerful, don´t they? You have to go and see that exhibition for us, then, and tell us all about it... :)

Do you live in/near Boston? When are you going to see the exhibit? I live in Boston and plan on going at least twice!

http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/ has links to some pictures people got in Toronto, as well as lots of information on the costumes and how to build 'em.

But I will probably gloat, yes.

I think it may have been the Bullroarer. He was a little on the tall side. (Well for a hobbit anyway...)

I wish the exhibit would come to the Smithsonian and then we could have a hobbit in the subway too! :)

Enjoy it!

It's going to be here for a while, and the train ride isn't too horrible... I don't know where it's going after Boston, though.

I saw the exhibit in Singapore. It's fabulous. I'm curious as to the admission price in the US. It was 20 Singdollars ($11-12US) but I'm guessing it will be a lot more in the States. I saw it a couple weeks after opening and it wasn't too crowded on a weekday afternoon. I loved the part where you could sit in Gandalf's cart and have you picture taken so you appeared hobbit size.

According to my flyer it will be $19 for adults, $17 for seniors and $16 for children, with a ticket to the rest of the museum thrown in that stays good for six months. And museum members get in for $3.

I'm buying a membership. Especially since there's a members only premiere.

LoL! Stalking wouldn't work, m'dear. I'd have the adventure and you'd be in the background grinding your teeth!

The exhibits here from August 1st to October 24th, and Boston is an amazingly educational place for a vacation. Revolutionary war, civil war, fine arts, aquarium, and of course you'd have to visit the museum of science, right?

Never hurts to ask!

*begs parents to go to Boston (not to stalk you) to meet the hobbit and see the exhibits*

How cool! There was a guy running around San Fransisco last winter, telling people to go see LOTR. I was amused. :)
