ARGH!

Since when did the Salisbury Hamburger Helper put carrots in the sauce mix?

*glares at pot of food she can't eat*

allergies stink

Oy... what a mess!

*waves hello* I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. It's perfectly good food for someone else, and it galls me to throw out a pound of hamburger.

Oh, allergies are fun. Not.

And I HATE it when companies change the ingredients on something to make it more "colorful"...

Yep, I just love having to take something *safe* off the list again. And carrots turn up in the weirdest things because of the colour. Between carrots and the types of nuts I'm allergic to shopping can be a very interesting experience *pouts*

Going to restaurants too. Although more of them take me serious these days.

How frustrating! Tricksy carrotssss.

[identity profile] rabidsamfan.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't remember there being carrots in there the last time I ate the stuff. It was on my list of "safe" foods! I saw those little orange squares and thought... "WHAT?" and then read the ingredients twice before I found the evil evil word in the fine print.

*grumble*

I ended up putting it in ziploc bags and freezing it. Maybe one of my co-workers will want it.

I'm sorry. I wish I could make nanobots to eat the carrot proteins for you.

Want some glop? I've got it in the freezer in case I get inspired for some place to share it.

Although, to be fair, it is pretty gloppy.

Allergies certainly do. Eldest is allergic to onions, which is in just about everything packaged that's not sweet. We've had to cook from scratch for *years*.

What a pity!

[identity profile] clevertoad.livejournal.com 2009-01-20 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Bite the bullet and toss the stuff, for heavens' sake. The freezer fills up fast enough with stuff you CAN eat, don't waste electricity on things you can't/ Write a politely pointed letter to the company and thank your stars you don't have the onion allergy too (at least not yet). That one sounds even worse, in terms of packaged foods.

Pats onna head, and a shake of the fist for the idiots at the corporate kitchen.
