Captcha -- are they sure it's random?

I've been following some roleplay blogs for an AU of Sherlock and it's meant a lot of captchas. Mostly the scrambled words plus a picture with numbers to identify.

Just got one that was USTbaker with the number 221.

LOL! I usually get the really good ones on L's blog, but J's has had some pretty near creepy ones as well.

I think it's Mycroft and not random at all... :D

I've seen some interesting ones in the Stargate fandom that look like Gou'ald or Jaffa words. It can't be random. Perhaps Captcha pulls words from the entries?
