"We're sorry to disturb you, Mrs. Hudson. I'll just get Watson back upstairs..."

"Mrs. Hudson! My beautiful Mrs. Hudson! Shall I sing you a song about the dicky-bird? 'And if you remain callous and obdurate...'"

"No, thank you, Doctor. Are you sure he'll be all right, Mr. Holmes?"

"Just a trifle too much anesthetic, I think. He'll be fine."

"Though I probably shall not exclaim as I die..."




Y'know, I could have just used yesterday's fic for today's WWoes prompt... Ah, well, apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan are in order, although Watson probably has a very nice voice, drunk or sober.
