The children got school off, but the libraries are open, so I am at work. Rather hoping that the mayor and the top staff at the library all had truly hideous commutes this morning...

That's brutal! I hope you have a quiet day and a safe trip home.

Pretty quiet. The snow is turning to rain here, so I expect I'll get home okay.

Observe the snow vigorously fornicate with ancestresses.

Ugh. I both sympathize and empathize; as of next Monday I shall have no more snow days.

If the morning commute had been a bit less messy I don't think I'd have minded. But we did get a few patrons who came in. Probably, oh, twenty...

That's a real pain. We have major snow up here, too, but they cancelled my evening class, so I just had to come in for the one. Normally they won't cancel for anything, though, no matter how bad it is. I have no idea how some of these institutions decide that it's perfectly feasible for one of them to be open, and yet close up other stuff. Argh. Stay warm, take care, and get home safe.

The main logic for cancelling here is to give the plows a chance. And it was coming down at 1 or 2 inches an hour this morning. Not too bad now, though.

I wish the logic here was that straightforward! Glad it's cleared up a bit at that end. It's ugly here.

Wretched and slushy walking home, but survivable. I hope you get/got home okay too.

Urgh, sorry to hear that. :-( But yes, got home fine, thank you. (And yay for movies in the library. The ones our librarian used to show us when I was little have stuck in my mind to this day).

That sucks. All our local libraries were closed today.

I wound up showing movies to the three kids who did turn up. Always fun introducing people to The Red Balloon.

Sorry to hear re: bad weather in your area.

Here's something I think you'll like, though, if you'd not already seen it:

The first 3 eps of the new Russian SH are now available with English subtitles!
